Verse of the Day
Visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating. We want you to feel welcome at North Hills Church. We invite you to visit us, see what we're about, and make yourself at home.
When you do, you'll discover that we are a small church with a big heart. A church that desires to see the gospel of Jesus Christ known in our Church, in our community, and throughout the world. We would love to have you join us, learn with us, and even make North Hills Church your church home.
We look forward to meeting you soon—but in the meantime, you might be wondering...
What time is worship and what is it like?
Our Sunday worship service starts at 10:45 A.M. and ends around Noon. It's a time for believers to renew their covenant (relationship) with God and a time for those who are still exploring faith questions to do so in a welcoming, loving atmosphere. Our music style is primarily traditional (hymns), with some more contemporary styled songs woven into the service. We celebrate the Lord's Supper (Communion) every Sunday.
What do I wear?
When you visit, you'll see people dressed in a wide range of attire. Be comfortable and you'll be fine.
What about my children?
We love children at North Hills Church and we want you to be comfortable with your bringing your children to worship. On Sundays we offer a safe, welcoming nursery for newborns up to the age of 3 during our Morning Worship Service. We also have nursery care available during Sunday School. Please know that children are very welcome in our worship service!
As a visitor, will I be singled out?
We understand that visiting a church may be a difficult decision. Be assured that we don't try to single you out in any uncomfortable way. We do have a fellowship greeting during the service, for everyone present, to recognize that our worship of God is not done in isolation and that our relationships are important. This is not always comfortable for our guests and/or those of a more introverted personality (including many of our members), but we think recognizing that we belong to something greater than ourselves is vital to a growing relationship with God.
